Who We Are?

The Sustainable Tourism Capacity Building Programme in Sub-Saharan Africa seeks to address the region’s need for inclusive and sustainable tourism development. Recognizing the immense potential of tourism as a vehicle for economic growth and cultural preservation, this initiative focuses on enhancing the capacity of Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers.

Through strategic partnerships with European institutions and organizations, the programme aims to equip VET providers with the necessary knowledge and skills to offer relevant and high-quality training programmes tailored to the needs of the tourism industry. By prioritizing areas such as management, governance, inclusion, quality assurance, and innovation, the project strives to create a skilled workforce capable of supporting sustainable tourism practices and attracting investment to the region. Aligned with the objectives of the European Union’s Global Gateway investment packages and the African Union’s Agenda 2063, the programme embodies a commitment to fostering economic growth, job creation, and sustainable development in Sub-Saharan Africa.
